Tappy ("the App") is a tally counter developed by 43waves. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

Data Collection

What We Don't Collect

• No personal information - We don't collect names, emails, or account data
• No usage data sent to our servers - Your counts and preferences stay on your device
• No tracking by us - We don't track your behavior or location
• No analytics - We don't use any analytics or tracking services

What Stays On Your Device

• Counter value - Your current tally count
• Undo history - Recent prior counts, kept so you can undo taps
• Haptic strength - Your selected vibration feedback level
• Theme preference - Your selected theme (System/Light/Dark)
• Tap sound setting - Whether tap sounds are off, the default click, or a custom sound
• Custom sound - The file path and display name of a sound you've chosen
• Interaction status - Whether you've tapped the counter at least once
• Ad cooldown - Timestamp to limit ad frequency

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

Advertising

The App displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect certain information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This may include:

• Device identifiers
• IP address
• General location (country/region level)
• Ad interaction data

Permissions

Vibration

Used to provide haptic feedback when you tap the counter. You can adjust or turn off this feedback in the App's settings.

Internet Access

Used solely to load advertisements via Google AdMob. The App does not transmit your counts or settings over the network.

Choosing a Custom Sound

When you choose a custom tap sound, the App opens your device's system sound picker. The App copies only the sound you select into its own private storage so it can play it on tap. The App does not browse, read, or upload any of your other files.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The advertising shown is handled by Google AdMob, which has its own policies regarding personalized advertising.
