QR Scanner ("the App") is developed by 43waves. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
Data Collection
What We Don't Collect
- No photos are saved - The camera is used only for real-time scanning
- No personal information - We don't collect names, emails, or account data
- No scan data sent to servers - Your scanned content stays on your device
What Stays On Your Device
- Scan History - Your last 20 scans are stored locally on your device only
- Settings - Your preferences (sound, haptic feedback, theme) are stored locally
- Onboarding Status - Whether you've completed the app introduction
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.
Permissions
Camera
Required for scanning QR codes and barcodes. The camera feed is processed in real-time and is never recorded or transmitted.
Internet
Used only for displaying advertisements. No personal data is transmitted by the App itself.
Vibration
Used for haptic feedback when a code is successfully scanned. This can be disabled in settings.
Advertising
The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data for personalized advertising as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings.
Third-Party Services
When you open a scanned URL or share content, you interact with third-party apps and services. Those interactions are governed by the respective third party's privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App is suitable for general audiences.
